The appearance of soda ash is white powder and fine-grained crystals with astringent taste. Soda ash has the ability to absorb moisture. It is easy to deliquesce in humid air and is absorbed by water. The aqueous solution is alkaline.

Classification of soda ash:

Soda ash is classified into industrial grade soda ash and food grade soda ash according to its purpose;

According to particle density, industrial grade soda ash is divided into light soda ash and heavy soda ash;

According to the different chloride content, it is divided into ordinary alkali and low saline alkali;

According to the production process, it can be divided into ammonia alkali, hydronium alkali and trona;

Soda ash application:

1. Soda ash is mainly used in the production of flat glass and glass products

2. Soda ash is used in the production of refractory materials in the ceramic industry

3. Soda ash can be used as a water softener in the printing and dyeing industry

4. Soda ash in the leather industry is used for the degreasing of raw hides

5. Soda ash is mainly used as a smelting auxiliary solvent in the metallurgical industry

6. Soda ash can be used as a detergent for wool rinsing, bath salt, etc.

7. Food grade soda ash can be used to produce flour, monosodium glutamate, etc.
